The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest connected with two bank robberies.
It is alleged that:
- on Friday, March 13, 2015, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a woman attended a bank in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area
- the woman entered the bank with her face concealed by a scarf
- the woman approached the bank teller and produced a note that indicated she was armed
- the woman made demands for money
- the bank teller complied and the woman fled with the cash
It is further alleged that:
- on Saturday, March 14, 2015, the same woman attended attended the same bank in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area
- the woman entered the bank with her face concealed by a scarf
- the woman approached the bank teller and produced a note that indicated that she was armed
- the woman made demands for money
- the bank teller complied and the woman fled with the cash
- police received a radio call to attend the holdup at a financial institution and arrested a woman in the area
- the money taken from the previous robbery was recovered at the time of arrest
Jennifer Charlebois, 37, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, March 16, 2015.
