The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a Robbery investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, a man and a boy walked into a variety store in the Kennedy Road/Eglinton Avenue East area
- wearing disguises, one was armed with a gun, the other with a Taser
- both went behind the counter, demanding cash
- both assaulted the employee
- they fled with money and lottery tickets
On Thursday, March 12, 2015, two men were arrested.
Shamar Collins, 19, and another man, then 17, are each charged with:
1) Robbery with a Firearm
2) Disguise with Intent
3) Weapons Dangerous
4) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
They appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, March 13, 2015.
The then-17-year-old cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
