The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of a robbery arrest.
On Friday, March 30, 2007, at 11: 41 a.m., the West Way Food Mart located at Royal York Road and The West Way was robbed.
It is alleged that:
- a man entered the store with his face disguised
- the man produced a knife and vaulted the counter, confronting the victim
- the man made demands for cash and cigarettes
- the man fled with a quantity of cash and cigarettes
- as a result of an investigation by Hold Up, the man was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, Malachi Brady, 29, of Toronto, was arrested by the Fugitive Squad and investigated by Hold Up.
He has been charged with:
1) Robbery
2) Disguise with Intent
3) Weapons Dangerous
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Ave East on Thursday, March 12, 2015, 10 a.m.
