The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Theft From Auto investigation.
Between Friday, February 13, 2015, and Wednesday, March 11, 2015, a large increase in Thefts from Autos was reported.
It is reported that:
- a man broke into 11 underground parking garages in the Bathurst Street/Steeles Avenue West area, and six underground parking garages in the Victoria Park Avenue/Ellesmere Road area
- the man then broke into vehicles in the garages and stole items
- to date, thefts from over over 60 vehicles have been reported to police
The man is described as black. He was wearing white running shoes and baggy blue jeans. He has also been seen wearing a black, hooded North Face jacket, a blue, hooded North Face jacket with a black stripe across the back of the shoulders, and a grey baseball hat with a dark-coloured brim with a sticker on the top of the brim.
