Three men, two boys, arrested for Robbery, Face total of 22 charges, Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area

On Monday, March 2, 2015, at 5:50 a.m., three men and two boys were arrested by 32 Division Major Crime Unit officers.

It is alleged that:

- from December 2014 to February 2015, there were a number of home-invasion robberies in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue, area which were becoming more violent

- the suspects targeted and victimized a vulnerable group of women who work in the sex trade

- the suspects would assault their victims and point firearms at them

- police executed search warrants that resulted in the recovery of several replica weapons, a handgun and property

Alcott Wiafe-Baaye, 19, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) Robbery while armed With Firearm
2) Disguise with intent
3) FTC Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at 60 Queen Street West on Monday, March 2, 2015, at 2 p.m.

Semaon Kidane, 18, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery while armed With Firearm
2) Disguise with intent
3) two counts Robbery While Armed with a Knife
4) five counts of Firearm Possession
5) Possession of Cocaine

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, March 2, 2015, 2 p.m.

Peter Chin, 18, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) Robbery while armed with a knife

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, March 2, 2015, 2 p.m.

A 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) two counts Robbery while armed with Firearm
2) Disguise with intent
3) Robbery

He was scheduled to appear in court at 311 Jarvis Street on Monday, March 2, 2015, 2 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Robbery while armed with Firearm
2) Disguise with intent
3) Possession of Cocaine

He was scheduled to appear in court at 311 Jarvis Street on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2 p.m.

The boys' names cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
