Arrest in Sexual Interference and Assault investigation, Jamshed Bhatti, 67, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in a Sexual Interference and Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, February 22, 2015, a man was walking the hallways of an apartment building in the Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue East area

- during his walks, he observed pre-teen girls playing in the hallways and common areas of the building

- the man began to follow the girls throughout the building

- the man waited for one of the girls until she was by herself

- the man approached the 12-year-old girl and began to compliment her

- the man then sexually assaulted her

- the man then asked her to leave with him

On Wednesday, February 25, 2015, Jamshed Bhatti, 67, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Sexual Interference
2) Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, February 26, 2015, 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.
