The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a series of Thefts of Gas throughout the Greater Toronto Area, along with three incidents of Flight from Police.
It is alleged that:
- between Friday, November 14, 2014 and Saturday, February 7, 2015, a man with a stolen vehicle attended numerous gas stations through the GTA
- the man obtained gas, but made no attempts to pay
- in three of the incidents, the man fled from responding police, endangering the public
The man has been identified as Vishal Sookwaah, 23, of Toronto. He is wanted for:
1) 23 counts of Theft - Under ($5000)
2) 23 counts of Fail to Comply - Recognizance
3) two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime
4) three counts of Fail to Stop for Police
5) Dangerous Driving
6) Theft of Motor Vehicle
7) Theft from Motor Vehicle
He is described as brown, 5'5", 125 lbs.
He is known the frequent the Scarborough area.
