On Friday, January 16, 2015, at 2:20 a.m., the 7-11 convenience store located at Dundas Street West and Runnymede Road was robbed.
It is alleged:
- a man entered the store disguising his face with a scarf
- the man walked behind the counter and confronted the victim
- the man was armed with a large butcher knife
- the man demanded money and the victim complied
It is further alleged:
- on Friday, January 23, 2015, at 2:05 a.m., a man attended the same 7-11 convenience store
- the man was armed with a knife
- the man confronted the victim
- the man demanded money and threatened the victim
- the man was given a quantity of money and fled
On Thursday, February 5, 2015, as a result of an investigation by Hold Up Squad, Ryan Curtis, 23, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:
1) Armed Robbery X2
2) Disguise with Intent X2
3) Weapons Dangerous X2
4) Threaten Death
He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, February 6, 2015, at Old City Hall.
