On Tuesday, February 3, 2015, a man was arrested by investigators for the robbery of five banks, all in the west end of Toronto, between Monday, December 14, 2014, and Thursday, January 8, 2015.
It is alleged that:
- once inside the branches, he approached the teller wearing a fur hat and sunglasses
- he placed a bag on the counter, pulled out a hold-up note demanding money, and held it up for the teller to see
- in the first robbery, he produced a black handgun and pointed it at the teller
- in each of the robberies, he was given a quantity of money then fled
Kristopher Mueller, 32, of Toronto, is now charged with:
1) Robbery While Armed with a Firearm
2) four counts of Robbery
He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 10 a.m., room 206.
