Police request public's assistance with Sexual Assault investigation, Morningside Avenue and Cumber Avenue area

Police are requesting the public’s assistance with a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at approximately 3:30 p.m. a 15-year-old girl was on a TTC bus in the Morningside Drive and Cumber Avenue area

- a man approached the girl and produced an edged weapon

- he prevented the girl from leaving the bus

- the man forced the girl off the bus at a location along Morningside Avenue and directed her to an apartment building

- the man then sexually assaulted the girl

- the girl was able to escape and contacted police

The man is described as black, dark complexion, early-20s, 5'10"-5'11", muscular build, with shoulder-length cornrows. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a black hooded jacket and a black scarf covering his face.
