On Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 9 p.m., police attended a robbery at a convenience store in the Eglinton Avenue West and Locksley Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- three men entered the store and ordered the customers to the floor
- two of the men were armed with shotguns
- one of the men jumped the counter and rushed the store clerk
- he demanded she open the safe
- the man was armed with a sawed-off shotgun
- he jabbed the victim with it, pointed it to her head, and demanded that she comply with his demands
- the man discharged the shotgun, narrowly missing the victim
- the other man was also armed with a shotgun and was carrying an Adidas duffle bag
- the third man kept the customers corralled on the floor and robbed them of their cellphones
- once the safe was opened, the three men took the money and fled
The three suspects are all described as black, in their mid-20s, and wore dark face coverings and white gloves.
Security camera video is now released in relation to this investigation.
