Public Safety Alert, Series of purse-snatch Robberies, Bathurst Street and Front Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to warn the public about a series of purse-snatch Robberies on Sunday, December 28, 2014, in the Bathurst Street and Front Street area.

Investigators are seeking the public's assistance identifying two wanted men.

On Sunday, December 28, 2014, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a woman, 28, was walking along Portugal Square near Adelaide Street.

It is reported that:

- two men approached her

- the men demanded her purse

- one man took out a gun and shot rounds into the ground, away from the woman

- they fled the area and were last seen on Tecumseth Street

On Sunday, December 28, 2014, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a woman, 26, was walking on Fort York Boulevard near Grand Magazine Street.

It is reported that:

- she was approached from behind by two men

- they grabbed her and demanded her purse

- she complied and they fled

- they were last seen on Bathurst Street

On Sunday, December 28, 2014, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a woman, 25, was walking on Wellington Street West and Spadina Avenue.

It is reported that:

- she was approached by two men

- she was pushed to the ground

- they grabbed her purse and fled the scene

- they were last seen on Draper Street

On Sunday, December 28, 2014, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a woman, 20, was walking at the rear of 350 Queen's Quay West.

It is reported that:

- she was attacked from behind by two men

- one man grabbed her in a headlock or choke hold

- they demanded her purse

- she refused

- the other man indicated he had a gun

- she was forced to the ground and dragged, suffering cuts and bruises

- the men gave up and fled the area

The men suspected in these robberies are:

Suspect #1 is described as black, 5'10"-6'0", 18-25, thin build, wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect #2 is described as black, 5'7"-5'11", 18-25, medium build, dark clothing and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Police consider these men to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach them. If located, call 9-1-1.
