On Monday, April 22, 2013, police arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Saturday, April 20, 2013, the accused was part of a group of people who chartered a bus to attend a sporting event
- at the conclusion of the game, the accused returned to the bus and sat beside an 11-year-old boy
- the accused sexually assaulted the boy
Jason Edward Thompson, 48, of Peterborough, has been charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Interference
3) Possession of Marijuana
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, April 23, 2013, room 101, at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
