On Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 9:44 a.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision at Kennedy Road at Ranstone Gardens.
It is reported that:
- an 83-year-old man was driving a 2004 Buick LeSabre, southbound on Kennedy Road in the passing lane, approaching Ranstone Gardens
- a 61-year-old man was driving a 2010 Honda Accord, northbound on Kennedy Road in the curb lane, approaching Ranstone Gardens
- a 53-year-old man was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra pick up, northbound on Kennedy Road in the passing lane, approaching Ranstone Gardens
- for reasons not yet determined, the Buick LeSabre left the southbound lanes and entered the northbound lanes, sideswiping the Honda, then striking the GMC Sierra head-on
The driver of the Buick was taken to hospital where he was pronounced.
