On Monday, December 8, 2014, at 6 p.m., the Toronto Police Service's French Consultative Committee hosted its monthly meeting at Police Headquarters.

At the meeting, the French Consultative Committee made a $1,000 donation to "La maison," a women's shelter that serves the French-speaking community of Toronto.

The French Consultative Committee's gift was received on behalf of "La maison" by Director Jeanne Françoise Mouè. TPS Director of Operational Support Services Kristine Kijewski was in attendance, as well as Domestic Violence Coordinator Detective John Valerio.

The French Consultative Committee provides an opportunity for members of the Francophone community to become involved in a formal consultation process that exists within the Service, in addition to engaging in a process of positive and constructive dialogue, addressing a variety of issues and concerns.

Further information can be obtained from PC Tina-Louise Trépanier of the Divisional Policing Support Unit at 416-808-0128.
