The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an apprehension of a man in crisis.
It is reported that:
- on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at approximately 8 a.m., police were called by a 37-year-old man who claimed he was armed with a gun and was going to kill himself.
- Divisional officers called upon the Emergency Task Force who responded to the man's home.
- upon entry, the man pointed an object at the officers, then attempted to jump off his balcony.
The officers were able to apprehend the man without incident.
The man was taken to hospital for professional help.
