On Thursday, November 27, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, 3401 Dufferin Street, on the north side (opposite Highway 401), directly inside the Famous Players/Indigo Mall Entrance, police leaders and officers from the Toronto Police Service and other police services will be joined by campaign supporters to kick off the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) annual province-wide crime-prevention campaign "Lock It or Lose It." This campaign targets theft of autos, valuables and gifts in unsecured vehicles.
This campaign encourages drivers to take precautions to protect their vehicles and vehicle contents from theft, particularly during the holiday season. "Lock It or Lose It" advises the public to be cautious during the holiday season when leaving valuables and gifts visible in their vehicles.
