The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- a 21-year-old woman applied for a job online through Kijiji
- for a job interview for Corerite Salvage Logistics, the woman agreed to meet a representative of the company at a local coffee shop
- however, the representative showed up at the woman's home, accompanied by another woman
- the representative began engaging the woman in sexually inappropriate conversation, then sexually assaulted her
It is further alleged that:
- a 29-year-old woman applied for a job online through Kijiji
- the woman agreed to meet the suspect at a local coffee shop for a job interview for Corerite Salvage Logistics
-the suspect engaged the woman in sexually inappropriate conversation and sexually assaulted her
On Thursday, November 13th, 2014, Randy Purves, 41, of no fixed address, was arrested. He has been charged with:
1) Two counts of Sexual Assault
2) One count of Indecent Acts
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, November 14, 2014, courtroom 306, 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
