The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest and seizure in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area.
It is alleged that:
- on Friday, November 7, 2014, officers from 31 Division's Neighborhood Safety Unit investigated a home in the Highway 400/Steeles Avenue West area
- information led officers to believe a woman was trafficking drugs
- the woman, and a man, were arrested
It is further alleged that officers seized:
- 2.611 kilograms of cocaine
- 3.596 kilograms of marijuana
- ammunition
- drug packaging
- scales
Marcia Chambers, 50, and Shaquille Longdon, 20, both of Toronto, were arrested. They each face:
1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of a Schedule I Substance
3) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
4) Possession of a Schedule II Substance
5) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
They appeared in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10 a.m.
