Woman, 43, charged in Fail to Remain collision involving Parking Enforcement Officer, Rosedale Heights Drive and Erington Avenue

On Friday, October 31, 2014 at approximately 9:30 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Rosedale Heights Drive and Erington Avenue.

It is alleged that

- a Toronto Police Service Parking Enforcement Officer was actively patrolling the area of Rosedale Heights Drive

- the officer observed a black Volkswagen Jetta which had two different licence plates

- a woman returned to the vehicle

- the Parking Enforcement Officer wanted to talk to the woman about the licence plate discrepancy

- the woman entered the vehicle and fled the area, striking the Parking Enforcement Officer, causing him to be knocked to the ground

- the woman was located near her residence and arrested

The accused has been identified as Christine Fisher 43, of Toronto.

She has been charged with:

1. Assault with a weapon
2. Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime
3. Use plates not authorized for vehicle

She is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, November 1, 2014, courtroom 101, 9 a.m.

The Parking Enforcement Officer was treated at hospital for soft-tissue injuries.
