Police request public assistance with Break-and-Enter investigation, Dundas Street West and Huron Street, Security camera image of suspect released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man wanted for Theft Over $5,000.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, a man gained entry to an optical store in the Dundas Street West and Huron Street area.

- he smashed the front-door window pane

- he used a set of bolt cutters to defeat the lock

- once inside, he stole approximately $30,000 in merchandise

- on Monday, August 18, 2014, the same man returned to the optical store in the Dundas Street West and Huron Street area

- he struck the front door with a set of bolt cutters

- he smashed the glass

- he was not able to get into the store this time

A security camera image of the suspect is now released.
