On Monday, October 6, 2014, just after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in front of the School of Experiential Education at 40 McArthur Street.
Officers arrived to find two young people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers commenced CPR and First Aid until paramedics arrived. Both succumbed to their injuries.

Homicide detectives have identified two more Persons of Interest and request the public's assistance identifying them.
Security camera images of the two are now released.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or the Persons of Interest themselves, to contact Homicide Detective Sergeant Peter Trimble at 416-808-7400, extension 77394.
