The Toronto Police Service would like the public's assistance investigating a robbery that occurred in the Wellington Street West and Portland Street area.
It is reported that:
- on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the suspects entered a taxi cab at Front Street East and Sherbourne Street asking to go to Wellington Street West and Portland Street
- when they arrived at the destination, one of the suspects took the driver's property and began punching him, while the other suspect attempted to choke the driver from behind
- the suspects were last seen heading westbound on Wellington Street West
One man is described as white, 22 to 27 years-old, 5'6", thin build with brown curly hair. He was wearing a hat, red sports jersey, and had large dark-rimmed glasses.
The other man is described as white, 25 to 26 years-old, 5'7", and has a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and grey shorts.
