CIBC "Run for the Cure," Sunday, October 5, 2014, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Road closures

On Sunday, October 5, 2014, the annual CIBC "Run for the Cure" will take place.

This event is a one-kilometre and five-kilometre run and walk. Queen's Park Crescent East & West will be closed at approximately 9 a.m. The formation area will be on the University of Toronto grounds around Hart House Circle.

Please note the full road closures below. Motorists can expect delays during the event.

The 5km Route

Road closures will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The route is as follows:

- Formation area will be at 9:45 a.m. at the Hart House Circle within University of Toronto
- Hart House Circle at Wellesley Street West
- Eastbound on Wellesley Street West to Queen's Park Circle East
-Southbound Queen's Park Crescent East to Armoury Street via University Avenue
-Turnaround at Armoury Street onto northbound University Avenue
-Northbound on University Avenue via Queen's Park Crescent West to Bloor Street West. Exception for the barricaded northbound curb lane, for Charles Street traffic to be diverted to eastbound Bloor Street
-Westbound Bloor Street West to St. George Street
-Southbound St. George Street to College Street
-Eastbound College Street to King's College Road
-Northbound King's College Road to King's College Circle

Dispersal area will be at King's College Circle


The 1km Route

-Formation area will be at 9:45 a.m. at the Hart House Circle within University of Toronto
-Start at 10:15 a.m. at Hart House Circle through Soldiers Tower to Tower Road
-Northbound on Tower Road to Hoskin Avenue
-Westbound Hoskin Avenue to St. George Street
-Southbound St. George Street to College Street
-Eastbound College Street to King's College Road
-Northbound on King's College Road to King's College Circle
-Dispersal area King's College Circle

Note: Wellesley Street West, from Queen's Park Crescent East to Queen's Park Crescent West, and Hoskin Avenue, from Queen's Park Crescent West to St. George Street, will be closed starting at 7 a.m.

The event will take place regardless of weather conditions. Members of the public should anticipate traffic disruptions, with local impact on TTC routes.
