Police seek public's assistance identifying Bank Robbery Suspect, Security Camera Images Released, Islington Avenue and Rathburn Road,

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a bank robbery investigation in the Islington Avenue and Rathburn Road area.

On Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 3:10 p.m., a man walked into the C.I.B.C. bank.

It is alleged:

- the man approached a teller

- the man pulled out a crumpled note from his pocket and placed it on the counter

- the note demanded that the teller provide him with a certain amount of money and indicated that he was armed with a gun

- the man was given a quantity of money and left the bank, walking westbound on Rathburn Road

No weapon was seen.

He is described as 5'9" to 5'11", 190 to 200 lbs., heavy build, moustache, and has facial hair. He was wearing a black pullover hoodie and black baggy pants.

Police are releasing the man's photo and requesting the public’s assistance in his identification.
