Police request public's assistance with investigation into Robbery of woman, 91, Security camera video released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with a Robbery investigation.

On Sunday, Septempber 28, 2014, a woman, 91, was walking into a building in the Spadina Avenue and Oxford Street area.

It is reported that:

- she was followed into the building by a man

- he pushed her and grabbed hold of her purse

- he wrestled the purse away from her after a brief struggle

- he ran out of the lobby

He is described as a white male, 20-25, short black hair, black T-shirt with blue shorts, wearing a white backpack with a black material or pattern.

A security camera video of this incident and the suspect has now been released.
