Arrests in Robbery/Aggravated Assault investigation, Three adults and three Young Persons face 44 charges, Four more suspects sought

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of six arrests stemming from a Robbery/Aggravated Assault investigation.

On Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at approximately 5:30 p.m., two men were in the Birchmount Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.

It is alleged that:

- they were attacked by a group of eight men

- they were beaten, shot with pellet guns and stabbed

- both men were rushed to hospital

- police began an investigation

During the early morning hours on Thursday, September 18, 2014, police executed five Criminal Code search warrants in that area.

Ity is further alleged that:

- six people were arrested, four for the original assault and two on unrelated drug charges.

Azizullah Hadi, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Two Counts of Aggravated Assault
2) Two Counts of Robbery With An Imitation Firearm
3) Two Counts of Assault With A Weapon
4) Two Counts of Weapons Dangerous
5) Fail to Comply With Recognizance

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, September 19, 2014, 9 a.m., courtroom 412.

A boy, 16, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Two Counts of Aggravated Assault
2) Two Counts of Robbery With An Imitation Firearm
3) Two Counts of Assault With A Weapon
4) Two Counts of Weapons Dangerous
5) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

A boy, 16, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Two Counts of Aggravated Assault
2) Two Counts of Robbery With An Imitation Firearm
3) Two Counts of Assault With A Weapon
4) Two Counts of Weapons Dangerous
5) Four Counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

A boy, 16, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Two Counts of Aggravated Assault
2) Two Counts of Robbery With An Imitation Firearm
3) Two Counts of Assault With A Weapon
4) Two Counts of Weapons Dangerous

The identities of the Young Persons cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

All three Young Persons are scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, September 19, 2014, 9 a.m., courtroom 408.

As a result of the search warrants, two more people were arrested and face drug charges that are unrelated to the attack.

Albert Doyle, 59, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Marihuana over
3) Possession of Proceeds

Nikita Reid, 22, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Marihuana over
3) Possession of Proceeds

They are both scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 9 a.m., courtroom 114.

Investigators are still searching for four more men or boys in relation to this investigation.
