The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a suspect wanted for in a carjacking/robbery investigation
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 22-year-old woman was sitting in her car, parked on Oxford Street, west of Spadina Avenue
- a man entered her car, indicated he had a firearm, then assaulted her
- when the woman fled her car, the man drove off in it
The man is described as white, with an olive complexion, in his late 20s to early 30s, average height, medium build, and dark, short shaved hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans. He is also described as emanating a "strange smell."
The car, a four-door, grey 2012 Toyota Camry, with Ontario Licence Plate BVEM668, has yet to be recovered.
Investigators are releasing security images of a potential witness who may have information.
