The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a stabbing investigation.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police were called to the Russell Street/Spadina Crescent area for a stabbing.
It is alleged that:
- a 21-year-old woman walked into a 42-year-old man's office
- during the brief conversation, the woman displayed a knife and began slashing at the man
- the man was able to eventually hold the woman down
- others who heard the commotion came to the man's assistance and held the woman for police
The woman has been identified as Xiao Yue Zhou, 21, of Toronto. She is charged with:
1) Criminal Harassment
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Assault with a Weapon
4) Weapons Dangerous
She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Thursday, September 11, 2014, 10 a.m., courtroom 507.
