The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Arson investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between Sunday, August 3, 2014, and Sunday, August 24, 2014, several cars and discarded household furniture were intentionally set on fire in the Jane Street/Wilson Avenue , and Jane Street/Lawrence Avenue West areas

On Sunday, August 24, 2014, Wilfred Akiwenzie, 30, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) seven counts of Arson
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, August 25, 2014.
