The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
On Thursday, August 21, 2014, around midnight, a 25-year-old woman met a man at a bar in the Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street area.
It is alleged that:
- the man took the woman to his apartment
- once inside, the man sexually assaulted her
- the woman was able to fight him off and flee the apartment
On Thursday, August 21, 2014, Jose Menezes, 45, of Toronto was arrested.
He is charged with:
1) Sexual Assault cause bodily harm
2) Possession of cocaine
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday August 21, 2014.
