The Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association and KidSport Ontario are teaming up to put on a sport-focused day for local children in 43 Division. Over 180 kids, ages 6 to 12, will be participating in this multi-sport event in Scarborough that will bring together police officers, kids and the community and show how sport can positively affect the lives of children.
The event this year is being held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,at Sir Robert L. Borden BTI located at 200 Poplar Road in Scarborough.
The kids will spend a half hour at different sport stations where they will be taught different games by police officers and a number of partner agencies including the Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, the Toronto Argonauts and the 2015 Pan Am Games Community Relations Team.
