The TPS Mounted Unit will be hosting a graduation ceremony for the participants in the 2013 Basic Equitation Course. Five police officers from the Toronto Police Service, two police officers from the Hamilton Police Service and one police officer from the Waterloo Regional Police Service have successfully completed 15 weeks of equitation training.
The graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the TPS Mounted Unit Headquarters, Horse Palace, 91 Manitoba Drive, on the grounds of Exhibition Place, opposite the Exhibition GO Station - GO Transit.
The graduation will consist of a certificate presentation, a precision ride and mounted gaming. The graduation ceremony will give the new mounted officers the opportunity to demonstrate the skills that they have learned to family, friends, co-workers and the media.
