On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at 11:12 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Eglinton Avenue East and Banff Road.
It is reported that:
- a man, 26, was driving a 2012 Honda Civic, eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East approaching Banff Road, in the middle lane of Eglinton Avenue East
- a man, 59, was riding a bicycle, southbound on Banff Road, and entered the intersection
- the Honda Civic struck the cyclist
The cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
