On Friday, August 1, 2014, at noon, in the lobby at police headquarters, 40 College Street, the Toronto Police Service will be hosting the 23rd Annual Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival kick-off ceremony.

Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival celebrates Caribbean music, cuisine, revelry as well as visual and performing arts. The Service, in partnership with community and corporate organizations, including the Children's Breakfast Clubs, has been participating since 1991. This participation includes a float in the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Parade, as well as celebrations at the local Divisions.

This year's event will feature greetings from Police Services Board Chair Dr. Alok Mukherjee, Deputy Chief Peter Sloly and community members. The event will also feature cultural entertainment from the community.
