The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a Sexual Assault and Robbery investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was walking in the Chalkfarm Drive/Jane Street area
- two men approached the woman and befriended her
- the two men led the woman into a wooded area, and sexually assaulted and robbed her
On Sunday, July 27, 2014, Jean Bertie, 32, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Robbery
2) Gang Sexual Assault
3) Sexual Assault
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, July 28, 2014.
The other man is described as black, 19, approximately 5'9", with a thin build, and short black hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
