Join Deputy Chief Peter Sloly on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 11 a.m., at 42 Division, 242 Milner Avenue, to help launch 42 Division's "Positive Ticketing."
This is a ticket youll want to get! Starting on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, officers from 42 Division will be recognizing members of the public who they find performing a good deed, assisting in an investigation or simply coming to the aid of a fellow citizen, by issuing them a "Positive Ticket" on the spot.
This innovative approach to community safety will provide officers with a tool to thank community members and reinforce the contributions that they have made.
Attached to each ticket are coupons for free products from sponsoring companies Macs Convenience Stores, McDonalds Restaurants and Pizza Pizza. Recipients may also be eligible for further rewards from local businesses, such as gift cards and movie passes.
Also at the launch will be two "Positive Ticket" recipients. Come and hear their stories and learn how the private sector has provided the skills and resources necessary for this initiative to succeed.
For further information, please contact Constable Patricia Hung at 416-808-4234 or by e-mail at patricia.hung@torontopolice.on.ca.
