The 26th Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival will be held on Queen Street East from Thursday, July 24, to Saturday, July 26, 2014. The Jazz Festival will take place each night from 7-11 p.m.
Queen Street East will be closed, in both directions, from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue, from 6 p.m., to midnight. TTC streetcars will be diverted off during these road closures. Modified TTC bus service will be maintained on Woodbine Avenue and on Main Street.
During road closures, residents may access/exit their homes at the following locations:
Residents living:
- south of Queen Street East, from Balsam Avenue to Lee Avenue, may travel north and south on Lee Avenue or south on Wineva Avenue
- south of Queen Street East, from Waverley Road to Kippendavie Avenue, may travel south on Waverley Road (only from Norway Avenue or Kingston Road) or may exit via Kew Beach Avenue at Woodbine Avenue
Note:
Kenilworth Avenue, Kippendavie Avenue, Hambley Avenue, Hartford Avenue and Herbert Avenue will be changed to two-way streets during the road closures.
Vehicles in the area will experience traffic delays due to this event. This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
