The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Homicide investigation.
On Sunday, July 6, 2014, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police were called to a shooting in the Dundas Street East/George Street area.
It is reported that:
- a 36-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were in the area
- a third man approached and shot both men with a handgun
The 36-year-old was taken to hospital whee he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Rala Federick, of Toronto.
The 37-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as black with a light complexion, 20-30, 5'10", and with a heavy build.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who was in the area during, or in the hours preceding, the shooting to call police.
