On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, one of the outstanding wanted men in the Project Dove investigation was located and arrested by officers from the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team. Darren Letts, 21, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1. Trafficking of a Person Under the age of 18 years
2. Material Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons
3. Procure to Become a Prostitute
4. Living on the Avails of Juvenile Prostitution
5. Exercise Control
6. Sexual Assault
7. Sexual Interference
Subsequent to his arrest, he was investigated and charged with:
1. Unlawfully in Dwelling House (two counts)
2. Mischief Under
3. Disobeying Order of Court
4. Carrying Concealed Weapon
5. Possession of a Schedule II Substance
6. Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
7. Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
Jason Bartley, 19, of Toronto, remains outstanding and is wanted for:
1) Living on the Avails of Juvenile Prostitution
2) Import, Distribute, Sells or Possesses Child Pornography (four counts)
3) Possession of Child Pornography (two counts)
4) Trafficking of a Person under the age of 18 years
5) Material Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons
6) Procure to become a Prostitute
Police believe there may be more victims and would like anyone with information concerning this investigation to contact TPS Sex Crimes.
