Public Safety Alert, Investigation into series of Sexual Assault and Break-and-Enters, South Etobicoke

TPS Sex Crimes and 22 Division have been investigating a series of Sexual Assaults and Break-and-Enters since June 2012.

It is reported that:

- a man wearing a head covering has been entering homes through unlocked doors and windows while residents are asleep

- women have been sexually assaulted

- these offences have taken place during summer months, mainly between June and September

- the offender appears to target residences with unlocked doors or windows and is focused on South Etobicoke

Police would like to remind the public of the importance of securing their residence at all times.

Police are also requesting the assistance of the public in being aware of any suspicious people in their neighbourhood, and being mindful of things being moved on their property. Any such incidents should immediately be reported to police at 416-808-2222.
