Police are requesting the public's assistance with an aggravated assault investigation.
On Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10:58 p.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to a call for an assault in progress at Bickford Park in the Christie Street and Bloor Street West area.
It is reported that:
- a 14-year-old boy was confronted by a group of 8-10 teenagers inside the park, who were unknown to the him
- the group of teenagers violently assaulted the boy
- the boy was seriously injured
Police have received information that several witnesses to the assault were in the area of the park at the time of the swarming and are appealing to those witnesses to come forward.
