For this year's Police Week kick-off, 13 Division has partnered with five schools within the Division to support this year's theme, "Building Community Partnerships." Officers from 13 Division came up with an artistic idea, not only to build partnerships, but to beautify the Eglinton Avenue West area.

The five schools are each creating a piece of artwork that will be weatherproofed and attached to 13 Division's fence at 1435 Eglinton Avenue West, prior to, and for the duration of, Police Week.

The schools involved are: Cedarvale Community School, D'Arcy McGee Catholic School, Fairbank Memorial Community School, J.R Wilcox Community School and The Leo Baeck Day School.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, four of the schools will have a private tour of 13 Division, with the fifth touring the station on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Superintendent Scott Baptist will present certificates to the schools during their tours.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., the public is invited to come and see the student's artwork and take a tour of the station. Food and refreshments will be served.

The TPS Mounted Unit will be on hand during the station tour to meet with the public and will be available for photo opportunities.
