Public Safety Alert, Eleven-year-old boy's bike stolen

The Toronto Police would like to make the public aware of an investigation into the theft of a bike.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 4:30 p.m., an 11-year-old boy attended the Albion Library at 1550 Albion Road

- the boy went inside to sign out books to assist him with his disability, and returned to discover his bicycle had been stolen

Police would like to remind the public that, with the warmer weather, theft of bicycles increase. Please visit our website to register your bicycle.

This incident however, has a positive outcome. Officers from 23 Division felt the impact of the boy's loss and donated a second-hand bicycle to the boy.
