The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between 2006 and 2013, a man sexually assaulted a now-11-year-old child on numerous occasions
- the mother reported the assaults to police when her child disclosed to her what had happened
On Thursday, May 8, 2014, officers from the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre arrested Roger Rayman, 66, of Toronto. He is charged with:
1) nine counts of Sexual Assault
2) six counts of Sexual Interference
3) six counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Monday, May 12, 2014.
Police believe that there may be more victims as Roger Rayman had access to other children in the community.

The CYAC was opened in October 2013 and is comprised of specialized child abuse investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children's Aid Society, the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children's Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Safe-T Program, Halton Trauma Center, and Boost Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention.
