Police are seeking the public's assistance identifying the person(s) responsible in an Animal Cruelty investigation.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 10:40 a.m., police responded to a call for a Suspicious Incident in the Brimley Road and St. Andrews Road area.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in the evening hours, a family's cat entered the home. It had been missing for the day.
It is reported that:
- the cat appeared to be in discomfort
- when the cat collapsed, it was brought to a veterinarian
- examination revealed the cat had been shot with what is believed to be a high-powered air rifle
The cat suffered serious injuries and remains in an animal hospital where it is receiving further treatment.
