The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a stabbing investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 10:20 p.m., police responded to a call for a stabbing on a subway train near Davisville subway station
- a 45-year-old man travelling southbound on the Yonge Street line was stabbed in what appears to be an unprovoked attack by a man
- the train was stopped after the passenger-assistance alarm was activated at Davisville subway station
- the suspect left the train and fled the area
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as black, 30-32, 6-62", with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black toque, black pants, a black jacket with a hoddie and carrying a white plastic bag.
If you see him, do not approach him. He is considered armed and dangerous.
