The Toronto Police Service will be hosting the 32nd Annual Children's Games at Variety Village, 3901 Danforth Avenue, on Saturday, May 10, 2014, starting at 10 a.m.
The TPS Children's Games at Variety Village is an opportunity for children with special needs from across the GTA to enjoy a wide range of co-operative and competitive games in a non-threatening environment.
Approximately 250 children, supported by over 200 police and family volunteers, will participate in a day of goodwill, sportsmanship and friendly competition.
To complement the activities, the Toronto Police Service provides participants with fun opportunities to learn about safety and brings along such notable characters as Blinky the safety car, Andros the bomb robot and various police vehicles and vessels.
Toronto Fire and Emergency Medical Services will also be participating with a display of their vehicles and safety equipment.
These games are sponsored by the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association, the Toronto Police Association and the TPS Senior Officers' Organization.
