Police request assistance with robbery investigation, Security camera images of Persons of Interest released

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a robbery investigation at York University.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 11:23 p.m., a 24-year-old man was walking along Pond Road

- he was approached from behind by two men

- one of the men produced a large knife and made demands for the victim’s wallet and cell phone

- the men fled the scene with the victim's cell phone and wallet

It is further reported that:

- on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 2 a.m, another 24-year-old man was walking along Campus Walk

- a man asked the victim for a cigarette

- when the victim stopped, he was grabbed by the man and put into a headlock

- three other men approached and began to assault the victim and search his pockets

- the victim was told not to resist and a knife was indicated

- the men fled the scene with the victim's cell phone

Suspect one is described as black, 18-26, 5'10"- 6', short black hair with a heavier build. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and hoodie with dark pants

Suspect two is described as black, 18-26, 5'10" -6', short black hair with a thinner build. He was last seen wearing dark clothing

Suspects three and four are described as male, black.

Police believe suspects one and two are involved in both robberies.

Police have released security camera images of two Persons of Interest.
