This year the National Volunteer Week celebrations will be held from April 6 -12, 2014. This is a very special time set aside every year, to honour volunteers and the contributions they make as a fundamental part of each community.
The TPS Divisional Policing Support Unit will be hosting this year's Volunteer Appreciation Night on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Toronto Police Service College, 70 Birmingham Street, in the theatre, at 7 p.m.
The Adult and Youth Corps, Victim Service Volunteers, Volunteer Chaplains, and the Services Community Consultative Committee members will all be in attendance at this annual event.
The John Herra Memorial Award and the Victim Services Award will be presented to those who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and proven commitment to their community.
